Uninstall i-effect

To completely remove i-effect® from the system, a script is used which should be called from the i-effect installation files. For example, you can download the latest i-effect ISO and unpack it into the /tmp directory of your system.

Alternatively, you can also copy the script from the installed i-effect directory. Important: You must not execute the script from the i-effect directory.

To do this, copy this folder to /tmp, for example:

CODE
\i-effect\V3R1M0\base\TOOLS\scripts

Then i-effect must be closed and it must be checked that there are no more locks on the objects to be uninstalled.
To exit, select option 86 in the i-effect menu and enter *ALL.

CODE
ieffect/ieffect
CODE
Option 86: *ALL

Use the following commands to check whether locks exist.

CODE
WRKOBJLCK OBJ(IEFFECT) OBJTYPE(*USRPRF)
WRKOBJLCK OBJ(IEFFECT) OBJTYPE(*LIB)

Make sure that all i-effect® subsystems are closed and no user is working with i-effect®, otherwise the uninstallation cannot be finished successfully.

Then call up the script for uninstalling.

CODE
QSH <enter>

From the downloaded and unpacked ISO.

CODE
/tmp/2mebeff/scripts/remove2mebeff.sh -v v3r1m0

Alternativ aus dem kopiertem Scripte Ordner:

CODE
/tmp/scripts/remove2mebeff.sh -v v3r1m0
