Sending AS2 messages

Outbound documents

To simplify the monitoring of file outputs, the outbound documents section is used. In this section you can see all sent files of all communication modules.

Navigate to Monitoring outgoing documents.

Here you can see which files have been transferred to which partner and when. The following screenshot shows the successful transfer of a file:

However, you can also find the following entry in the outgoing documents: An entry with the status *WAIT. This is a message for which the MDN has not yet been received. This happens, for example, if you have requested an asynchronous MDN.

Now open the context menu (right-click) on any item and click Session → actions for this session to access the session's logbook of this session.

Session logbook

As soon as you send a file via the AS2 module (SNDAS2/SNDFILE), a session is created for this purpose.

At the time of transmission, this session is displayed with the status active.

Once the file has been successfully transferred and the MDN received, the session changes to the status OK.

If you send a file with an asynchronous MDN request, the session can also remain in the so-called wait status after sending. This status indicates that the file has been sent, but the corresponding MDN has not yet been received.

This can also be recognized by the session itself (status).
