Creating partner profile and linking to AS2 profile

Besides having communication profiles that describe the technical AS2 connection parameters it is necessary to have a partner master data record for every partner you want to communicate with. This partner entry is then linked to the existing (previously created) AS2 client (send) communication profile.

Using Webcontrol, select the menu item Master data → Partner from the left navigation bar.

Click on the Create new entry button on the top right of the screen.

Enter a new unique alias for the partner to be created and a short description.

Go to the *AS2 tab on the left side and select the AS2 send profile previously created for this partner

Activate the option "Use as preferred communication profile" if you want to use the functionality SNDFILE of i-effect to automatically select the primary communication channel as defined in the master data of the partner.
