Create definitions

Definitions

To create a new definition, a name and a description must be entered and a module must be selected. If now saved, the entry is created in the background, but the form remains open and on the left side the menu items for definitions and index values are displayed.

If the MAPPER module is selected when creating a definition, only index values can be defined for this module and the entry has no Active status. The index values defined for the MAPPER module are only used for display in the logbook.

Conditions

No conditions are yet assigned to a new definition. Conditions can be taken from the already existing conditions or newly created.

The "Add existing condition" button displays a list of all existing conditions.

These are transferred to the list of assigned conditions by mouse click. If such a condition has a lock symbol, it belongs to the standard definitions delivered with the program and cannot be edited. Only the link type, the level and the active status can be assigned by clicking on the entry in the upper list.

In the upper list entries can be switched directly to active or inactive and the position of the entries can be moved via the marker on the right side by drag-and-drop. The Delete icon on the far right removes the condition from the current definition, but does not delete it.

If you want to create a new condition, use the "Create new conditions" button.

Either a check value can be selected from the existing index values, or a new check value can be created for this condition only by specifying the name and a regex. For a new regex, the Multifind value must then be used to specify whether the first or last occurrence is to be determined.

Via the type and level, together with the position in the list, complex conditions can be created, which correspond to a bracket expression.

Index values

No index values are yet assigned to a new definition. Index values can be taken from the already existing index values or newly created.

The "Add existing index values" button displays a list of all existing index values.

These are transferred to the list of assigned index values by mouse click. If such an index value has a lock symbol, it belongs to the standard index values supplied and cannot be edited.

If you want to create a new condition, use the "Create new index value" button.

An index value can be selected from the existing values or a new index value can be created via the + symbol. Via the edit symbol next to the index value, the displayed names of the index value can be edited in German and English. Under these names the value is shown in the document input and output. Furthermore, a regex must be entered to find the value. The Multifind value is used to specify whether the first or the last occurrence is to be determined.
