Subsystem jobs do not start; java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError
Problem
This message indicates that the JAVA version does not match the JAVA version with which the i-effect programs were compiled.
Probably there is a JAVA_HOME environment variable pointing to an older JAVA version.
Solution
To solve this, a new environment variable must be set for i-effect that points to the correct JVM version.
CODE
ADDENVVAR ENVVAR('IEFFECT_JAVA_HOME') VALUE('/QOpenSys/QIBM/ProdData/JavaVM/jdk626/32bit')
After logging off and logging on again, the subsystem can be started successfully.
