Firefox Port Sharing

In newer versions of Firefox, some port numbers are considered insecure and are blocked. Among them are the port numbers used by ZendServer like 10080 or 10088.

To set up an exception rule in Firefox for these port numbers, please do the following:

  • In the Firefox navigation bar, enter the URL about:config and confirm access.
  • Create a new entry of type string named network.security.ports.banned.override.
  • Enter the desired port number or a comma-separated port list. E.g. the ZendServer port number from the address bar: 10080.

After that the page should work again in Firefox.
